After visiting the manufacturer, I learned so much about the intraoral camera.

Hello, Everyone, I am Eunice.

A few days ago, a customer asked me to recommend an oral intraoral camera. He claimed that there were so many intraoral cameras on Alibaba that they were all similar and it was really hard to choose.

Do you have the same feeling as my client?

Through a week of on-site visits and study, comparative analysis of dental endoscopes produced in China, I gained an in-depth understanding of the design principles and structure, lens quality, image transmission method, screen size, and other characteristics.

After the visit, I wrote my summary and shared the mysteries of dental endoscopes. I hope you can learn more about dental endoscopes and choose the endoscope that suits you best.

What would you like to know in detail of the intraoral camera

  • Application

Dental endoscopes are optical instruments mainly used for oral examination and treatment.

They are composed of an endoscope probe, light source, camera system, display, and control system. Through their high-resolution imaging and precise guidance, they improve the accuracy and effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment in dental clinics.

  • Types of Endoscopes

There are three types of intraoral camera, they are all-in-one machine, split machine, all-in-one computer

All-in-one machine ——- the freeze frame and display screen are together
Split machine ——-The freeze machine and the display are separated. The freeze-frame machine and the display are separated, which has better heat dissipation effect and can extend the service life of the machine.

All-in-one computer

Install Windows system or other computer system, and transfer pictures directly through the network.
  • Lens

Autofocus: The autofocus camera automatically adjusts the focus to capture sharp and clear images without manual adjustment, making it easier for dental professionals to use.

Fixed-focus: The endoscope lens is fixed-focus, with a focal length of less than 5mm. Seeing three teeth on the screen is the optimal shooting distance, which is set based on the mouth opening and closing angle and the shooting of the back teeth.

  • Image Transmission method

Wired intraoral cameras: These cameras connect to a computer or monitor using a USB cable. Wired cameras provide a stable and reliable connection for live image display and recording.

Wireless intraoral cameras: Wireless intraoral cameras use wireless technology (such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) to transmit images to a computer, pad, or other display device. They provide greater mobility and flexibility during dental examinations.

USB Intraoral Cameras: USB intraoral cameras connect directly to your computer’s USB port. They are easy to set up and use, making them a popular choice in many dental offices.

Using a USB endoscope is indeed more convenient than a wired endoscope, but we must pay attention to the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, as it will affect the shooting effect.

A. In the clinic, if there are no special obstacles in the middle, 4-5m is fine. In an open space, 6-7m is also fine.

B. If it is too far away, there will be signal interference and the picture will not be clear.

C. If the battery is insufficient, there will be signal interference bars, which will also affect the clarity of the picture.

What is the difference between USB and wireless transmission?

USB transmission is channel transmission, there is no signal interference. It’s work with a computer.

Wifi transmission is transmitted using a wifi stick, the signal is easily interfered with, generally, VGA transmission is used together with wifi.

  • Screen size:

17.5 inches

21 inches. The 21-inch model can display CT images at a 1:1 ratio without distortion.

  • Probe size

The small probe size makes it easier to adjust the shooting position, making the patient more comfortable.

  • Light source:

Most of the light sources on the market use 6 high-brightness lamp beads. Some high-definition endoscopes have 12 high-brightness lamp beads, and the effect is extremely obvious.

Tips for Taking the Best Teeth Image

  • Distinguish the front and back sides of the sheath, one side of the sheath is NOT clear, make sure to wear it on correctly.
  • The fixed focus distance of the endoscope lens is 5mm. Seeing 3 teeth on the screen is the best distance for shooting.
  • For wireless endoscopes, the distance between the receiver and transmitter should be less than 5 meters.
  • Keep the receiver and transmitter fully charged. Unstable voltage will affect the shooting effect.
